Practical AI & automation for small teams

Get time back in your week.

JC Communications helps small businesses and professionals put AI to work in their day-to-day operations — practical automation that saves real time, without the complexity.

Who this is for

Most small businesses don’t need a big “AI transformation.” They need a handful of hours back in their week.

I work directly with owners and small teams to find the repetitive, manual tasks eating up their time — and build simple, reliable automations that handle them. No jargon, no bloated software stacks — just practical systems built around how you already work.

Practical, not theoretical

The smallest automation that creates the biggest relief — not a sweeping overhaul.

Built on your accounts

You own your tools and data from day one. No lock-in to my systems.

Plain-language process

No AI jargon required to understand what’s being built, or why.

Real operational background

A career managing content and communications at scale — grounded in how work actually gets done.

Three ways to work together

01

AI & Automation Assessment

A short, focused engagement to map out where time is being lost to manual, repetitive work — and identify the highest-impact place to start.

  • Walkthrough of current workflows and tools
  • Automation opportunities ranked by effort vs. time saved
  • A clear recommendation — no obligation to build

02

Custom Workflow Automation

Hands-on building of the automation itself, using tools that fit your business — Make.com, Zapier, Airtable, Google Workspace — under your own accounts.

  • Tailored to your existing tools and habits
  • Built and tested end-to-end before handoff
  • Documentation so your team understands how it works

03

Ongoing Support & Iteration

For clients who want to keep refining their systems as the business grows or changes.

  • Light-touch monthly or as-needed support
  • Adjustments as workflows evolve
  • A sounding board for “could this be automated too?”

Assess, build, support.

Step 1

Assess

A conversation and a look at how work moves through your week. You leave with a ranked list of what’s worth automating first — whether or not we go further.

Step 2

Build

I build the automation in your accounts, test it end-to-end, and hand it over with documentation short enough that you’ll actually read it.

Step 3

Support

Workflows change. I stay available to adjust what’s running and to look at the next thing worth taking off your plate.

What I’m working on now

Live engagements, not polished case studies.

In progress

Real estate team — calendar & closing checklist

Working with a two-person team to eliminate hours of manual calendar work: digitizing their closing-date checklist and automating reminders — client touchpoints, key dates, follow-ups — straight into their calendar.

6–8 estimated hours saved per week

In progress

General contracting — smarter estimates

Helping a general contractor spend less time building estimates and more time running their business. Creating standardized, tiered estimating systems that automate repetitive pricing and data-entry tasks, and reduce manual work.

8–10 estimated hours saved per week

About

Why JC Communications exists

I spent my career managing content and communications execution at scale — the deadlines, handoffs, and small manual steps that quietly consume a team’s week. That’s where the approach here comes from: how work actually gets done, not how software gets marketed.

AI is genuinely useful for small businesses right now — but mostly in unglamorous ways. A reminder that fires on its own. A form that stops needing to be re-typed. A document that assembles itself. A website that works as hard to be found as it does to look good. Those are the wins I look for first.

If something can’t be explained in plain language, it probably isn’t the right build. That’s the whole philosophy.

Start with a free assessment call.

Thirty minutes, no pitch. We’ll talk through your week and find the one thing most worth automating. If it’s not a fit, I’ll tell you that too.
